The Wildlife Information Project is a part of the Yellowstone Park Foundation. There are some more projects that the Yellowstone Park Foundation has funded, such as the Beaver Population Survey and the Trumpeter Swan Recovery Project.
The Wildlife Information Project operates under a non-profit organization. The mission of the organization is to fund programs to preserve and enhance the Yellowstone National Park’s assets, including all the animals, such as the rare grizzly bears.
The staff at Yellowstone National Park is responsible for keeping the animals safe as well as keeping the people away from the animals. The staff does make efforts to maintain the safety but it is advised to all visitors to maintain adequate distance and not go near an animal that can attack humans.
